Some Kessab-Armenians live in their homes, some families have left for Lebanon

YEREVAN, JULY 1, ARMENPRESS. Most of the Kessab residents already live in their homes. In his interview with “Armenpress”, this was stated by the priest of the Armenian Catholic Church in Kessab, Rev. Nareg Luisian, who added that electricity and water are supplied in Kessab with interruptions. The women continue to clean and put in order the apartments as much as possible.

The priest noted that some Kessab families, losing completely their homes, belongings, possessions, have left for Lebanon. In his words, some Kessab-Armenians, who have tools, are plowing the fields, some others are gathering the harvest and selling it in Latakia, thus gaining a small amount of money. As for the bombs thrown in the direction of Kessab, the priest noted that nowadays they are more rarely observed.
