Gevorg Kostanyan excludes cases of systemic corruption in Prosecutor's Office
YEREVAN, JUNE 25, ARMENPRESS. The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan assures that corruption cannot exist in the prosecution system as a whole. During the June 25 meeting with the journalists, the Prosecutor General stressed that it is impossible to speak about systemic corruption in any case. "At the same time, not excluding that there may be individual cases of corruption, I can only say that if such cases are detected, they will be immediately neutralized, and the corresponding prosecutor, who has accepted bribes or displayed any other corrupt behavior, will bear responsibility" – reports “Armenpress”, citing Kostanyan, who also added that taking of bribes by a prosecutor is just a meanness towards both the society and the entire prosecution system.
