YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS. For the member of Armenia's national chess team Gabriel Sargsyan the world rapid and blitz championship is a preparatory period before the Olympiad. "Very strong chess players will participate in the world rapid and blitz championship and a very strong team is assembled. To play normal here will be more difficult, than in other championships" – in a conversation with “Armenpress”, this opinion was expressed by Gabriel Sargsyan.

Thrice Olympic champion noted that this participation is basically associated with the fact that there is no other tournament before the Chess Olympiad to be held in Norway. "This is a preparation before the Olympiad. Of course, this is an individual tournament, and the atmosphere will be different, but a good tournament to obtain a proper form" - said the GM.

The Armenian Grandmasters Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargissian, Sergei Movsesian, Zaven Andriasian are going to participate in the world rapid and blitz championships to be held on June 15-21, 2014 in Dubai, UAE.
