YEREVAN, MAY 30, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is a good example of a country which at the same time combines both European and Eurasian integration vector. As reports “Armenpress”, this was stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the "Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and links with compatriots" Leonid Slutsky.

“Kyrgyzstan and Armenia have already announced in a very specific way, that in a few months they would like to join the Eurasian project" - he said during the May 30 press conference at "Russia Today" News Agency.

At the same time, Slutsky said that it is still early to speak about the membership of Abkhazia or South Ossetia to the Eurasian Economic Union.

"Abkhazia’s and South Ossetia’s integration to the Eurasian Union must be first and foremost the will of the native population. We must understand that the Eurasian Economic Union is a serious economic structure, and the integration to it requires quite developed economy" - he said, as reports RIA Novosti.
