“Scars of Silence” to be presented in U.S. linked to Armenian Genocide

WORCESTER, APRIL 21, ARMENPRESS. On the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide the documentary “Scars of Silence” will be demonstrated at the Worcester (Massachusetts) Public Library.

The filmmakers are Nubar Alexanian - the well-known and merited photojournalist and film-director, and Abby Alexanian. As reports “Armenpress”, citing the American «Telegram.com» news site, the documentary "Scars of Silence", which will be screened on April 23, tells about a father and daughter, who have transcended a century of silence and denial to make peace with the tragic past of their family. The film reveals both the effects of the genocide on contemporary Armenians and the ways that the persecution of the Armenian people continues today. The Martyrs Day Commemoration program at the library will also include a presentation of books and videos to the library's Knights and Daughters Of Vartan Collection, and a proclamation from Worcester Mayor Joseph M. Petty.
