Armenian Genocide Commemoration ceremony will be held in Turkey
YEREVAN, APRIL 21, ARMENPRESS. On April 24 and in the preceding days commemoration ceremonies of the Armenian Genocide victims will be held in Turkey. As in previous years, this time as well, the events are initiated by "Say No to Racism and discrimination" organization. As reports “Armenpress”, on April 22, at 6:30 p.m. local time, in Istanbul, the representatives of civil society will meet with the antiracists arrived from Europe and the representatives of the Diaspora and will make discussions. The initiative has received the "Open Door" name.
Earlier the same day, at 2:30 p.m. again in Istanbul a discussion will take place on the issues: "What happened in 1915? Why is the problem urgent in our time? The speakers will be Hrant Dink's lawyer Fethiye Cetin, the representative of the European Grossroots Antiracist Movement Benjamin Abtan and the AGBU Executive Director of Europe Nicolas Davityan.
