Teghut mine envisages starting production in the end of this year

YEREVAN, APRIL 19, ARMENPRESS. Copper and molybdenum ore production is envisaged to start in Teghut mine at the end of this year. Director General of “Teghut” CEO of “Vallex” group Valeri Mejlumyan informed about it in a conversation with the journalists during the visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to the mine. “We have begun active constructive work activities from null since November 2007 and already at the end of this year we envisage to start production,” he said as reported by Armenpress.

Valeri Mejlumyan noted that in the first stage of the program it is expected to carry out annual 7 million tons of ore mining and implementation. In that case depending on the international prices of copper and molybdenum in the first stage the total price of the commonly exported goods is expected to be around 150-190 million dollars . “Over 300 million dollars were invested on the program, and already until the end of this year we will begin production,” Mejlumyan noted.
