YEREVAN, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS. An evening of dance, theater, poetry and music was held at the Teater Blanca in Uppsala on April 13. The Central Council of the Armenian National Committee informed Armenpress that it was Hamazkayin Sweden’s first cultural event.

The organization’s dance group “Adana” performed three choreographies. The dancers were Arpine Minasian, Anny Mansourian, Shakeh Baghdasarian and their dance teacher, Selina Mansourian. The amateur theater group Kaminen under the direction of Luiza Consta Ter-Sargsyan played Hovhannes Toumanyan’s “The stupid man” and “liar” in the Swedish language. David Ohanjanian, Lilia Sukiasyan, Kevork Ekizean played music and Anoush Miroyan and Paren Baghdasarian read poetry. We had the honor of a visit from EU-Parliament member Cecilia Wilkström (FP), Armenia’s Ambassador to Sweden Artak Apitonyan and EAFJD President Kaspar Garabedian as well as representatives from Armenian associations and the church council. The evening’s hosts were Nora Vekilian Tajra and Alex Mansourian.
