YEREVAN, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Police Day. The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s office of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the message runs as follows:

“Respectful employees and veterans of the Police,

I congratulate you on the occasion of the Police Day: the people of the Republic of Armenia have established and solid state structure. You carry out your mission completely with dignity.

It is not a secret that the work of the Police is in the focus of the society in any country and particularly in Armenia. And the behavior and image of a policeman are directly connected with the description of the country and state. In these terms, you have additional responsibility. It is necessary to point out that positive shift in the work activity of the Police has been obvious in recent period. This is a result for a lasting chain of improvements that was successfully implemented in the Police system, but this is also a result of a psychological change that occurs in our society. Not only the attitude of the society changes towards a policeman, but that of a policeman changes towards the society. Of course, we are still far from the desired goal but it is hopeful that we go on the right way and record achievements”.
