U.S. Ambassador to Turkey discussed resolution on Armenian Genocide at ruling party headquarters
YEREVAN, APRIL 14, ARMENPRESS. The U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone discussed the resolution on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, adopted by the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee at Erdogan's ruling "Justice and Development" party central headquarters. As reports “Armenpress”, this was informed by the Turkish "Radikal" newspaper.
The U.S. ambassador met with the ruling party's political affairs deputy officer Mehmet Ali Sahin. Ricciardone congratulated Erdogan's party with the victory at the elections of the local government bodies. It was reported that among other questions,issues concerning the Turkish domestic policy were discussed. After the meeting Ricciardone underscored: "We agree that the Turkish-American relations are at a high level and are independent of every-day policy".
