YEREVAN, MARCH 21, ARMENPRESS: The senior Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Akif Hamzacebi stated that the Turkey's main opposition party will file a legal challenge on Friday against a court decision to block access to Twitter. Armenpress reports, quoting Reuters that the member of the party also noted that the party would file a criminal complaint against the Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan on the grounds that he was violating personal freedoms.
Earlier it was reported that the accessibility to the social network Twitter has been blocked in Turkey. The ban has been put into force since March 20 23:00 pm. Thus Turkey became the second country in the world after China, where Twitter is prohibited. This step made by the government, headed by Erdogan, raised a big discontent and concern in the entire world. The European Union valued this action to be “unnecessary and meaningless”.
