Levon Aronian considers game with Giri to be hard

YEREVAN, JANUARY 22, ARMENPRESS: The leader of the Armenian national chess men’s team Levon Aronian considered the game with Anish Giri to be quite difficult. “The game was quite hard. There was a moment, when I positioned not so well though everything was under control. If I had made any mistakes, I would have lost”, - told Aronian to the official website of the Tata Steel Tournament.
Armenpress reports that now Aronian got 6 points and is the leader of the Tournament.
12 chess players take part in the Tata Steel Tournament held on January 11-26, 2014 in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands. Aronian’s opponents are: Pentala Harikrishna, Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana, Boris Gelfand, Sergey Karjakin, Leinier Dominguez, Anish Giri, Wesley So, Arkadij Naiditsch, Richard Rapport and Loek Van Wely. The current champion Magnus Carlsen is not among the participants.
Levon Aronian was the winner of Tata Steel Tournament in 2012.
