Partners appreciate high Sirusho’s opportunities in World Music Awards

YEREVAN, JANUARY 18, ARMENPRESS. Armenian singer Sirusho’s representation in three nominations of World Music Awards as a European artist is a great success not only for her, but for Armenia.  Singer, songwriter Hayko noted in   a conversation with “Armenpress” that before World Music Awards the most popular music event that singers from our country could participate was “Eurovision”.

The World Music Awards is an international awards show founded in 1989 under the High Patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and is based in Monte-Carlo. Awards are presented to the World's best-selling Artists in the various categories and to the best-selling Artists from each major territory. Sales figures are provided by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Nine Awards are voted online by the public. The Awards are gold-plated, each depicting an Artist holding the world, and are designed and manufactured by R.S. Owens & Co. who also make the Oscars.

The awards show is broadcast to North and South America, all of Europe, the Middle East, Japan and Southeast Asia, all of China, India, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, and all of Africa, reaching an estimated worldwide audience of one billion viewers in over 160 countries.

The World Music Awards is produced by Marcor International, a Production Company based in Monaco. John Martinotti is the Executive Producer and Founder of the show, Melissa Corken is Executive Producer as well, and Jason Shepherd is the Producer. The show has received much of its publicity and press from utilizing outside companies. The World Music Awards has a solid base of followers on Facebook and Twitter.
