YEREVAN, DECEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani paid Christmas visits to the families of the Armenian freedom-fighters’ families. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that first the Iranian President visited the Movsisyan’s family. The father and son of the Movsisyan’s family sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Islamic revolution and protection of the homeland. The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran congratulated the relatives of the victims on Christmas and highlighted the significant role of the religious minorities in the period of Islamic revolution and sacred defense. Among other things the Iranian President noted that the Muslims consider Jesus Christ a profit of mercy and kindness. “This is a good occasion to express our gratitude to the families of the victims and honor their self-sacrifice and resistance,” Hassan Rouhani noted.
