Nakhichevan Patriotic Union suggests erecting memorial in Tsitsernakaberd

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS: The Chairman of the Nakhichevan Patriotic Union Mels Mkrtchyan suggests erecting a monument in Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to attract the attention of the society to the demolition of the Armenian historical and cultural monuments by the Azerbaijanis in Nakhichevan. “The monument will be dedicated to not only the monuments of Nakhichevan, but also all the memorials demolished by Azerbaijan”, - said Mels Mkrtchyan at the press conference on November 20, adding that the Nakhichevan Patriotic Union will make efforts in the nearest future to implement the idea.
The Union aims at the spread of the patriotic ideas among the youth due to different events. The Nakhichevan Patriotic Union was established in 1989 and has about 200,000 Nakhichevan members.
