Armenia participates in International Training course “Move it!” in Moldova

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS: During 7 working days International Training course “Move it!” will be held in Costesi, the Republic of Moldova aims at developing competencies of youth leaders and youth workers for inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities into the youth projects within the EU “Youth in Action” programme, promoting tolerance towards cultural diversity as common value on the local, national and international levels and prevention of exclusion. “Armenpress” reports that Armenia is also represented in the event.

International Training course “Move it!”  focuses on fostering European awareness on benefits of intercultural relations and social inclusion; it highlights the importance of active participation of youth, regardless of person’s social background and financial situation. The project is funded by the Executive Agency for Education Audiovisual and Culture. Young participants from the EU and EECA region are deliberately chosen to come from countries with multicultural communities: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Romania.

The project defines the following objectives: to develop experience and understanding of dance and music experiential learning as a way for working with young people with less opportunities, develop deeper understanding about the principles of non-formal and intercultural learning, and of ways to use them in youth work, discover reasons and consequences of exclusion, and to develop ways for inclusion through non-formal, intercultural and outdoor experiential learning, exchange experience of youth work with people with fewer opportunities in different countries, provide information about the YiA and its opportunities for youth active participation, raise awareness on cultural diversity in Europe by active interaction with traditional dance/music.
