New details on unfriendly response from Shirak-Dinamo friendly match

GYUMRI, JUNE 19, ARMENPRESS: The fans of Gyumri’s Shirak football team ignored the provocations made by the fans of Dinamo and tried to keep calm at the Tbilisi’s Dinamo Stadium after the impolite behavior of the Georgian fans after the friendly match between the two teams held on June 17. As the Armenpress correspondent was reported by the Press Secretary of the FC Shirak Anna Tadevosyan, though the match ended with the friendly score of 1:1, something did not satisfy the fans of the neighboring country.

In comparison with the common fans, the latter demonstrated quite an aggressive behavior. During the entire game the members of the regular fan club of Dinamo followed the match normally. Two minutes after the end of the game the fans moved towards the fans of Shirak, threw bottles, fruit and juice towards the microbus of the fans. Policemen interfered. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The Armenian fans were accompanied to the VIP area by the policemen and then to the microbus and all the way the microbus was accompanied by the road police. On the case the FC Shirak has not got any official apology. “The employees of the stadium, the members of the Dinamo Club and the Police made oral apologies but by now we have been provided with no official explanations”, - stated Anna Tadevosyan.

50 fans left for Tbilisi to follow the game of Shirak and another 50 joined them from the Armenian community.
