By Galust Sahakyan’s suggestion National Assembly session held without break

YEREVAN, JUNE 18, ARMENPRESS: The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia made a decision to hold the session of the June 18 without a break till 18:00. As reported by Armenpress, the suggestion was made at the session by the Head of the National Assembly faction of the Republican Party of Armenia Galust Sahakyan, taking into account the busy agenda and the importance of the discussed issues.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia accepted the suggestion made by the Head of the National Assembly faction of the Republican Party of Armenia.

The discussion of the report of the Control Chamber of the Republic of Armenia for the year of 2012, held on June 18 at the National Assembly, was completed. The Control Chamber of the Republic of Armenia registered numerous violations and omissions in its report for the year of 2012, particularly in the fields of urban development, procurement and road construction.

Earlier the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan suggested discussing the report of the Control Chamber for 2012 at the corresponding committees of the National Assembly. Hovik Abrahamyan added that the key to the eradication of the abuses is the cooperation of the National Assembly, the Control Chamber, the Government and the General Prosecutor's Office.

“I suggest the Government and the Control Chamber to discuss together and submit a package of legislative initiatives, which will exclude the violations”, - said Hovik Abrahamyan.
