Hovik Abrahamyan suggested sending Control Chamber’s report to General Prosecution

YEREVAN, JUNE 18, ARMENPRESS:The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan suggests sending the report of the Control Chamber of the Republic of Armenia for 2012 to the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia. As reported by Armenpress, at the session held at the National Assembly on June 18 Hovik Abrahamyan emphasized that it is unacceptable to keep silence after the Control Chamber presented facts on violations.
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia suggested as well discussing the report of the Control Chamber for 2012 at the corresponding committees of the National Assembly. Hovik Abrahamyan added that the key to the eradication of the abuses is the cooperation of the National Assembly, the Control Chamber, the Government and the General Prosecutor's Office.
“I suggest the Government and the Control Chamber to discuss together and submit a package of legislative initiatives, which will exclude the violations”, - said Hovik Abrahamyan.
The Control Chamber of the Republic of Armenia registered numerous violations and omissions in its report for the year of 2012, particularly in the fields of urban development, procurement and road construction.
