Problems with apricot harvest in Ararat Marz settled: Minister of Agriculture

AMASIA, JUNE 18, ARMENPRESS: The problems connected with the purchase of the apricot harvest in the Ararat Marz have been settled already. This was reported to the Armenpress correspondent by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan. The villagers of some communities of the Artashat Region complained about the suggested low price for the purchase of the apricots and closed the roads.
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan stated that recently he had been reported that the residents of the communities of Kaghtsrashen, Aygezard and Narek of the Ararat Marz complained that some apricot-exporting companies decreased the purchase prices for the apricots. “I am now in the Amasia Region of the Shirak Marz. I sent two of my deputies to settle the issues with the villagers. I talked with the Acting Governor of the Marz and we have already settled all the problems”, - said the Minister of Agriculture.
Sergo Karapetyan instructed the companies to weigh the products and buy them for 500 AMD. “Now Spayka Company is working with the villagers under these conditions. The problem has been settled and I think there will be no complaints”, - stated the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.
