MFA Spokesperson commented why Serzh Sargsyan does not participate in CSTO summit

YEREVAN, MAY 28, ARMENPRESS: The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Balayan commented on the non-participation of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the unofficial summit of the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member countries on May 28 in Bishkek.As reported by Armenpress, the MFA Spokesperson stated:
“Armenia is the founding and active member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and has always participated in all the events of the Organization.
The unofficial summit of the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member countries to be held on May 28 in Bishkek is devoted to the discussion of the Central Asian issues, as published in the Organization’s website.
The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will not participate in the CSTO summit, as on May 28 the country celebrates the First Republic Day and on that occasion different events will be held with the participation of the Head of the State”.
