Hovik Abrahamyan urged to explain hail-affected villagers what aid they will be provided with

YEREVAN, MAY 24, ARMENPRESS: The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan urged the Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan, the Head of the Armavir Marz and the Armavir deputies to visit the Marz and meet the hail-affected villagers to explain them what aid they will be provided with. As reported by Armenpress, at the Parliamentary hearings held on May 24 the President of the National Assembly stated that the “documents of the suggested aid are quite complicated and there is need to give comprehensive explanation on them”.

“The villagers should be explained in details what kind of aid they will be provided with”, - said Hovik Abrahamyan.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan stated that it is their duty and they will visit all the regions to meet the villagers.

On May 12 Armavir Marz was affected by the heavy hail most. The losses caused from the heavy hail fell in the Republic of Armenia make about 20-25 billion AMD. To fulfill the agreement, reached with the hail-affected villagers of the Armavir Marz, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan, all the members of the Government, the heads of the agencies at the Government of the Republic of Armenia and all the Marz heads of the Republic will allocate money from their personal incomes to the fund for assistance to the hail-affected villagers and economic units.
