Sargis Ghazaryan handed credentials to Giorgio Napolitano

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS: Newly appointed Armenian Ambassador to Italy Sargis Ghazaryan on May 22 handed his credentials to the President of Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano. As Armenpress was informed from press service of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, solemn ceremony in Italian presidential residency was followed by private meeting of Italian President and Armenian Ambassador.

Congratulating Ambassador Ghazaryan on the appointment President of Italy expressed his gladness over the high level relations between the two states. He underlined that newly appointed Ambassador would have a great contribution in the further development of the relations.

Ambassador Ghazaryan expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that development of cooperation with Italy was of a great significance for Armenia.

At the meeting which lasted about 30 minutes sides touched on Armenian-Italian political agenda, including high level mutual visits, bilateral economic cooperation as well as cooperation in cultural sphere.
