Iranian Embassy expressed its considerations over U.S Ambassador’s words regarding relations between Armenia and Iran

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS: Relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenian Republic which are based on good neighborly relations, signature of various treaties of bilateral interest, have always recorded development and have never been affected by the statements and inculcations of other, third, countries situated outside the region. This was noted in the statement Armenpress was provided with by Iranian Embassy.

It is mainly noted in the statement:

“Under the pretext of claiming its indisputable right regarding the issue of the Iranian exploitation of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, the USA and some western countries have never succeeded to impact the treaties and commitments between the two countries through illegal and unilateral sanctions.

Moreover, Armenian government and people have always received the disinterested support of Iran in the most strained and tough moments. Admitting that issue, U.S. Ambassador has included the policy of pressing Armenian authorities in his agenda, forgetting that relations between two friendly and neighboring states may not be influenced by interventional statements.

As Islamic Republic of Iran was always there for respectful Armenian government and Armenian people, taking into account the difficulties caused by increase of energy carriers’ prices, it is willing to promote the development of energy security of Armenia through the expansion of cooperation.

In order to clarify the groundless accusations of USA regarding nuclear program, as well as to present the policy over regional and international issues Iranian Embassy will convene a press conference in near future”.
