YEREVAN, MAY 21, ARMENPRESS: Presentation of 4 film projects which are going to be filmed by several countries was held in Russian pavilion of Cannes Film Festival. As reports Armenpress, referring to vokrug.tv, film “Florist” by American Jeff Galustian was among those projects.
The project which has received a great feedback will be filmed by Maria Sahakyan. It’s a story about carnations grower Vardan who lives in Nagorno-Karabakh. War between Armenia and Azerbaijan turns the life of 60-year-old man upside-down. His elder son goes to war and never comes back. Younger son also leaves their home for Europe and tries to turn his musical talent into life. Once Vardan finds a wounded Azerbaijani soldier in his garden and keeps him with the hope to exchange him with his son.
“Karabakh conflict is not being resolved for already 15 years and war can be launched in any moment. We want to grab the attention of the society to let them see this geographic point and this human history.” Maria Sahakyan said.
Nominee for the greatest project is the “Battle for Sevastopol”.
