Spokesman of Defence Ministry confirmed news on shooting started by the opponent

YEREVAN, MAY 18, ARMENPRESS: Spokesperson of Armenian Ministry of Defence Artsrun Hovhannisyan confirms the news that opponent has started shooting on Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line.

As Artsrun Hovhannisyan has noted in the interview with Armenpress, Azerbaijani side always uses the opportunity when some social or political events take place in Armenia.

In accordance with data of Defence Army, opponent has violated ceasefire regime on Karabakh-Azerbaijani border for 200 times during period from May 12-18. More than 1500 bullets of different diameters were fired towards Armenian side. As Armenpress was informed from press service of NKR Defence Ministry, Defence Army gave adequate response to opponent and implemented military vigilance along the entire length of the contact line.
