YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARMENPRESS: President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko who finishes his diplomatic mission in our country.

As Armenpress was informed from presidential press office, Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude to Ambassador Kovalenko for the great contribution in the development of Armenian-Russian strategic relations during his mission. According to President Sargsyan last few years have been rather efficient for the strengthening of relations between Armenia and its main economic partner Russia. The evidence of that is a great number of mutual visits and signature of many important documents.         

Serzh Sargsyan has noted Armenia is interested in the maintenance of relations and the further deepening of them, highlighting it is in best interest of the two friendly nations.  

Russian Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko expressed gratitude to President Serzh Sargsyan for the kind words and positive esteems. He has noted that now leaving Armenia he has the feeling of satisfaction regarding his activity carried out during several years. He has underlined he is proud of his contribution in the development of Armenian-Russian relations.  He assured he would continue to be the friend of Armenia and would spare no effort for the strengthening of relations between the two states.
