Armenia-Ukraine education cooperation prospect discussed

YEREVAN, APRIL 15, ARMENPRESS: Armenia and Ukraine will continue deepening the cooperation in the field of the education. As Armenpress was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, the agreement had been reached during the meetings held in the framework of the three-day official visit of the Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan to Ukraine. The Armenian Minister had meetings with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Dmitry Tabachnik.

The discussion agenda included the issues related to the development of the education cooperation and deepening of the bilateral relations, particularly in the field of the inter-university cooperation. The sides presented the processes of the reforms taking place in the two countries and the gained experience.

The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan and his counterpart Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Dmitry Tabachnik discussed as well the issues of strengthening of relations between the two countries in the international education platforms, in the CIS and European higher education area in particular.

The Minister Armen Ashotyan expressed his gratitude for the teaching of the Armenian language in some schools of Crimea, as well as announced about his readiness to assist in the further development of the abovementioned program.

At the end of the meeting the Armenian Minister invited his Ukrainian counterpart to Yerevan to take part in the Ministers’ Summit of the Eastern Partnership countries, organized in the framework of the European Council.
