YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 18, ARMENPRESS. 200 observers of the OSCE/ODIHR short-term observation mission have already visited more than 500 polling stations by 16:00, February 18. The Spokesperson of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Thomas Rymer informed "Armenpress" that at the present moment the observation mission successfully continues its mission. Thomas Rymer noted: "The observers have already visited over 500 precincts. Our mission will continue all day around. We shall receive the entire information from the observers throughout the entire republic."

Answering on the "Armenpress" question whether violations have been recorded or not the Spokesperson of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights said that presently they are not authorized to speak about the violations. Among other things Thomas Rymer noted: "We are not authorized to give any assessment yet, as our purpose is to assess the entire electoral procedure. We cannot talk about concrete violations, because our aim is to introduce the entire course, and not separate cases."

This is already the sixth time the Armenian citizens participate in presidential elections. 1988 polling stations of 41 electoral districts are open by 08:00. The total number of the voters included in the voters' register of the Republic of Armenia is 2.505.980. There are seven contenders running for president in the Republic of Armenia. The names of the presidential candidates are introduced in the alphabetical order in the ballots. They are as follows: Hrant Bagratyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Raffi Hovhannisian, Andrias Ghukasyan, Arman Melikyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Vardan Sedrakyan. The votes will be over at 20:00. The results of the presidential elections will be summed up on February 25, 2013.
