Armen Ashotyan notices a new page in EU-Armenia relations

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 8, ARMENPRESS: EU center in Armenia hosted members of diplomatic representations and educational institutions of Armenia with its official opening ceremony on February 8. Armenpress reports, head of EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea has noted that education is the ‘ticket” to the future.

“Only those will be successful who are preparing for tomorrow. EU center is going to work with the students and pupils in order to increase their awareness of EU activity and EU activity in Armenia,” he said. According to him, despite numerous achievements, core road is in future. Head of EU delegation to Armenia hoped EU member countries would actively cooperate with EU center.

Armenian Minister for Education and Science Armen Ashotyan has noted that it’s another page in the cooperation between Armenia and EU. “It is not accidental that one of the first programs is going to be educational. Without underestimating importance of other spheres I should assure that it is only educational sphere which gives an opportunity for a long-term cooperation. From this point center has a rather important mission,” Minister said.

In frames of its cooperation with Armenian Ministry of Education and Science EU center will support teachers to develop special classes concerning EU for students and pupils. Center is also going to support the creation of European exchange programs which will give opportunity to students to share their experience and successful stories of studying in EU.
