New estimations considering NKR presidential elections democratic

YEREVAN, AUGUST 8, ARMENPRESS: In order to analyze the process and results of the presidential lections in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on August 8 Armenian and foreign political scientists gave I press conference in “Caucasus” institute. Armenpress reports that Richard Kirakosyan introduced to the participants the balance of geopolitical actors in the region which have connection with NK conflict settlement, spoke about positions of Minsk Group countries and about political problems in Armenia.

Kirakosyan mentioned that the lections in NKR were not similar with the previous ones: they were more democratic. The political scientist contradicted the democratic presidential elections to authoritarian regime in Azerbaijan.

The executive director of the company “Americans for Artsakh” Marc Ditze who followed several elections in Armenia informed that the presidential elections in Artsakh were not exception. In his opinion the level of participation during the lections was very high.
