Opening of branch of Goethe University in Armenia to be important achievement in Armenian-German relations
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, ARMENPRESS: The number of Armenian students wishing to study in Germany through different scholarship programs increased 2.7 times during the recent three years, Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan told news conference February 14. The minister said the number of students studying in Germany through scholarship programs has reached 140. The development of Armenology is also an important sphere in the relations between Armenia and Germany. "A number of German universities have good Armenology traditions," the minister said, adding that relations in the sphere of higher education are also developing dynamically.
The minister said the important agenda issue between the two countries remains the opening of branch of Goethe University in Armenia. "We need it a lot," the minister said.
