The delegation headed by Chairman of Turkish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission Volkan Bozkir, which left for Paris with a lobbyist mission against the Bill Criminalizing the Armenian Genocide Denial, has arrived back in Istanbul empty-handed.
Armenpress reports, citing the Turkish "Dogan" news agency, that at Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul Bozkir confessed they did not manage to persuade the French parliamentarians not to adopt the Armenian Bill.
"Beginning from the President of France, all the members of the government, political figures and parliamentarians stand up for the bill. I think the bill will be adopted during tomorrow's voting, as it is supported by Sarkozy and members of the ruling party," he said, stressing their hope is that the French Senate will not ratify the Armenian Bill.
