The Russian Investigative Committee ( SK) will check all the 35 complaints filed about violations in the Duma election, SK Chairman Alexander Bastrykin told Russian ombudsman Vladimir Lukin at a meeting of the Coordination Council of regional ombudsmen, Itar-Tass reports.

"We have already begun this work. I have officially asked about the number of complaints against the violations in the electiond lodged with us. For the time being 45 complaints against the violations connected with the holding of the elections to the State Duma, but 35 of them are directly connected with the organization of the holding of the elections," Bastrykin said.

He mentioned the Altai Republic, the Altai, Murmansk, Magadan, Kostroma, Moscow, and Sakhalin regions, the city of Moscow and a number of other regions from which the complaints arrived. " Instructions have been issued to conduct procedural checks and institute criminal proceedings if the necessary grounds exist," Bastrykin said. All the facts will be checked objectively, fully and comprehensively; if the necessary facts are found out criminal cases will be opened followed by a full, comprehensive and objective investigation," Bastrykin assured.
