President of Iran to arrive in Armenia by the end of the year

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS:

This visit is a good opportunity to continue our dialogue, refer to the issues of bilateral agenda and a number of regional and international issues, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said, welcoming his Iranian counterpart in Armenia and adding that during this year he had a number of meetings with Ali Akbar Salehi.

"We have discussed bilateral economic relations, which are dynamically developing. There are projects which are being implemented particularly in the spheres of transport and energy," Nalbandian said.

He said they also discussed the process of implementation of arrangements achieved between the presidents of the two countries. "Good meetings are taking place within the framework of inter-governmental committee, we have also touched upon the results of the latest sitting and the arrangements that contribute to the implementation of all the programs," the minister stressed.

Different regional and international issues of reciprocal interest have also been discussed.

"One of the important discussed issues was the visit of the President of Iran Mahmud Ahmadinejad to Armenia by the end of the year," Edward Nalbandian said.
